All of us are naturally concerned about our health. We want to not only live long, but also to live well.
Over the next five years, the Government will double its annual healthcare budget from $4 billion to $8 billion to build capacity and ensure health care remains affordable. Let me elaborate on each of these two objectives.
Increase healthcare capacity
First, we need to ensure adequate capacity.
The Government has announced plans to significantly increase the capacity of our healthcare services and invest in our healthcare workers to ensure Singaporeans can get the treatment they need.
