To juggle the many hats he wears, Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC MP Chong Kee Hiong, who is Chief Executive Officer of OUE Hospitality Reit Management, makes it a point to prioritise what he needs to do daily.
Mr Chong, who is also chairman of the NTUC Foodfare cooperative and president of Orchid Country Club, slots his daily to-do list according to degrees of urgency and importance, taking care of matters that are most urgent and important first. This list is dynamic as he reviews it throughout the day and re-prioritises the items according to circumstances.
This form of time management means he has no time to procrastinate, gets to the most urgent task and finishes it first, before he moves on to other tasks.
He applies the same principle in the management of the 30-year-old mature estates in his Bishan East-Thomson constituency which also has a large ageing population.
