The Government Parliamentary Committee (GPC) for Health has made a range of recommendations on keeping healthcare affordable for Singaporeans.
These suggestions include tapping on Medisave for more services and using Medishield to cover a greater proportion of medical bills.
GPCs are teams of PAP backbenchers who take a special interest in the workings of a ministry. They serve as a feedback mechanism for government policies and programmes.
