Make Singapore the best home
March 8 is International Women's Day. On this day, we celebrate the women of Singapore. The focus of the celebrations ranges from general celebration of respect, appreciation and love towards women, to a celebration for women's economic, political, and social achievements.
We speak to some of our women leaders in the Party and have compiled their responses in the following tribute. Here are Senior Minister of State Josephine Teo's views:
"In helping to build our nation, we have much to be proud of and much to look forward to. Let's continue working together to keep Singapore the best home for all our mums, aunties, sisters, daughters and girlfriends."
- Mrs Josephine Teo, in her tribute to International Women's Day
"When I gave birth at KK Women's and Children's Hospital, I was really grateful for the high standards of public hospitals and quality affordable care provided to me as a woman citizen."
- On one of her proudest moments as a woman living in Singapore
She looks forward to the nation's efforts to..."celebrate the contributions of the women whose daily efforts hold their families together."
