Healthcare security and more help for low-income seniors' top "wish list" for seniors at the inaugural dialogue of the PAP Seniors Group (PAP.SG) at NTUC Centre yesterday.
Themed "Our Seniors, Our Asset", the session attracted about 110 participants comprising a mix of party activists from diverse backgrounds from between 19 - 80 years old, volunteers from VWOs as well as industry professionals. The purpose of the session was to galvanise ideas and consensus useful to shape policies for better representation of seniors' views and to improve solutions targeted to their needs.
The dialogue was facilitated by Madam Halimah Yacob, Chairman of the PAP.SG and Mr Chan Chun Sing.
Ageing issues are complex and multidimensional, says Halimah Yacob who chairs the new seniors group, PAP.SG.
'We need to fight for what we believe in and make sure that the right result prevails.'
