"For women to influence the tone and direction of our society, we need more women to come forward to be counted. And they must serve at the various different levels - in Parliament as MPs, in the commmunity as grassroots leaders, at the PAP branches. We must be prepared to take in diverse views and respond to the needs of our changing society."

A strong spokesperson for the meritocratic advancement of women at all levels in society and for singles, she raised many other issues including :-

  • Concerns regarding Singaporeans going overseas for sex with minors
  • Supporting the revision of the Chinese Language curriculum to allow children of different backgrounds and capabilities to achieve their fullest potential in the Chinese Language
  • Concerns regarding the setting up of Integrated Resorts locally
  • Safety issues with regards to training undergone by SAF soldiers
  • The need for Singaporeans to be alert to terrorism
